Generator engine inspections and repairs
The engine is the heart of your generator system. Even the best-maintained engines with low operating hours require regular attention to minimize downtime. A standby generator engine rarely reaches the number of operating hours that would qualify it for the manufacturer’s overhaul schedule. However, even when the engine is not running, coolant is continuously circulated through engine heaters. Depending on the engine type, this can lead to wear of seals and O-rings within the cooling circuits.

Regardless of configuration, planned overhauls are essential as a proactive measure to maintain engine lifespan and reliability. In emergency situations, engines may also require reactive fault repairs.
